Last year as soon as the teams cleared the field, they started removing the sod from the field (sold it to fans) and began demo of the east side. This year it is the west side. They will have it rebuilt and ready for next season. (Spent Thanksgiving there for a family tailgate get together). That is what happens when Tech people move to TX and intermarry with the locals
Aggies need to learn how to build stuff better.
Sad thing about this story is the Stadium getting a 485 million upgrade--- $485 million !!

Aren't they supposed to value engineer the thing down to like $185,000,000? That's how it works, right?
Most projects this size run over. I don't believe I ever worked on one that was under budget.
Not being a contractor, architect, or engineer myself, I really don't know what I am talking about. I was searching for the correc verbiage to use when you say you are building a $400 million facility and it actually turns out to be a quarter of that. I know that TAMU won't do that because they fart $100 bills down there. However, we, the little people, dream of putting a project together and then actually having real money to be able to do it.
Tulane build the stadium of our dreams for 75 Million. We need a 30k Horseshoe style stadium that can be added on once we hit the big time. I would take the other 400 million and put it towards our endowment.
. you Little slow today Woof-- I am a money guy, took us years to try and raise 20 million-- we still not there-- Sad that we can't raise 20 mil and they have 485 mil project TULANE now have a 1 BILLION fundraiser going. ( not athletics). Does that explain sad??
A medical and law school like Tulame would do it.
