Former Louisiana Tech football stars Matt Dunigan and Ryan Moats will be at the Heart of Dallas Bowl because their hearts remain with the Bulldogs. Several other former Bulldogs will join them on the sidelines or in the stands when Tech, 8-5 and champs of the Conference USA's West Division, and the 6-6 University of Illinois Fighting Illini of the Big Ten meet the day after Christmas at noon in the Cotton Bowl.

That is cool!! I sure did enjoy watching Moats run the last time I saw him in Dallas at SMU. That was a fun game.
I think playing a bowl in Dallas is exactly what our program needed right now. Although my wife & daughter are like: say what! ya mean we coulda been in the Bahamas or Hawaii? Maybe next year, I said.
But, seriously, hopefully this will energize more former Dawgs and Tech Nation in general.
I know I'm fired up!!! Dallas has been my hope since since it became an option last year.
Looking forward to seeing how things go tomorrow for us over in Big D, but I'll tell y'all...we NEED to have a very strong presence in the Metroplex.
Obviously The University feels the way about it that I do, but in many respects, DFW is key to the future of LaTech.

And GREAT for our 2014 Bulldogs. It's gotta be special for them to be away in a destination bowl. Meeting Paul Millsap, the NBA game, Drew Pearson and Randy White, Ryan Moats and Matt Dunnigan, some with family in Dallas: just a wonderful reward for our Bulldogs and staff.

I would like to see this become an annual bowl trip for the Bulldogs except when qualify for
bigger bowl! Maybe the date will be changed to 27th or 28th?
Saw a lot of Tech cars headed west on I-20 yesterday! 5 hours til game time!

In Terrell headed that way. I'm drinking Lonestar Beer already and fired up. I saw a pick of the front entrance to the Cotton Bowl on twitter this morning and it gave me chills!!! So fired up!!!!
Glenell Sanders was there. He has a 6'3" son playing QB at Bishop Dunne but will move to WR in college. We need to recruit him.
And he weighs 190 lbs.
Get time - good beer at game - tech fans showed up fairly well.
Proud if the team for the W and the fans for showing up today. Great bowl experience for me.
Sanders told me Tech coaches visited the school once but did not come back. I think he really wants his son to go to Tech.
Had a Tech fan behind me at the game, a 1968 grad, former member of the BOP. This was the first game he has seen in person....since his senior year. Has lived in the Dallas area since he graduated. He had a blast! Had his wife, son, and daughter-in-law with him. They all got into the Move the Chains chant....after asking what we were saying.
I'm not gonna question WHY he has not made an effort to attend a Tech game before this. But, maybe, now we'll see him more.
There were others. A Tech grad and his family was near me. I could tell this was a unique experience for them too. To be positive...there were 22K Tech fans there and for many this was a renewal of their fanship. Glad we won. I truly believe we re-captured some prodigal Dawgs yesterday!
I hope they get into going to Tech games. NT is so close and if we ever play SMU again that would be nice for them. Ruston isn't that far from DFW and it is an easy drive. I have made day trips from Houston before and got back before midnight.
