Anyone Know If LSU Will Ever Schedule Tech Again?

With the HOD Bowl today, I know this is a little off topic. I'm just wondering if LSU will ever schedule Tech again. Apparently the last time Tech beat LSU was 1904. That said, I don't think it's accurate to say that LSU is always better than Tech; LSU has just been lucky enough to avoid us on the years when Tech was the better team (same goes for Tulane). From the looks of things, LSU has been scared to schedule Tech ever since they almost lost in 2009. They have certainly been inconsistant in recent years. Anybody know?

Not true. They beat us by only one TD the last time we played them in Red Stick. And we were leading at the half as well.

Yes "dude" I think they're scared. They are supposed to play a Louisiana school every few years. They seem to be conveniently skipping over La Tech every year.

They are indeed scared, as they should be. The last time we played was too close for comfort for the folks down in Refineryville. We would beat them in basketball, and I believe we would have beat them in football this year or back in 2012.

& 99% of them don't care where Ruston is (the other 1% probably live in Ruston!!!!

I for one have no desire to play them (home or away) as it gains us almost nothing. The 2009 game was fun (part of it) - being up at the half and fingertips away from a potential game winning interception...but the Home Team Homecoming "holding" calls started mounting up in Q4 to where one drive we were going backwards so fast you would swear we had been intercepted. No way we were going to win that game with SEC refs (or else we may have lost our payout)...and being cussed at in mixed company by mixed (heavily inebriated) company for 6+ hours including pre-game and post-game is not what I call much fun.

Rather play teams that have fans are at least honorable in victory if we are going to stack ourselves against multiple top 10 teams each year. Prefer having only 1 of those a year, until we can hold our own with the lower tier top 25 (by being in that group regularly) - LSU are one of the most hated fan-bases nationally. Being in the same State shouldn't exclude us from feeling the same way.
