Their fans at the game weren't delusional. The ones I talked to agreed that we should be favoted and knew mote about our team than I did

I've met several here at the Sheraton. Nice people....just Yankees.
Most I spoke with suspected a loss prior to, and weren't surprised after. They were all good sports though.
Same here, I like Illinois fans I've met. The fans up there two years ago were awesome. Friendly, many initiated conversation s, had many offers of beer, burgers, barbecue, they were gracious and congratulatory afterwards, basic Southern-like hospitality. Arky and Tulane fans are the worst ever.
Agree nice people I've met whether in the Sheraton, on the DART, or out and about. I do know they despise UNC, basketball thing I guess?!
Haven't we come to expect this kind of stuff from a "big school" opponent? ...And haven't we been known to dish it out on others too? There is a pecking order in college athletics, and if we are looking for anything resembling respect from P-5 schools we beat, that won't happen.
I actually do sympathize with the disappointment (we've BEEN RIGHT THERE earlier this season), but try not to play so loose with just how "lowly" LaTech is. First, you should have heard at least once on TV and in the stadium that we are in CONFERENCE USA, not the "sun belt"...and I think one of them said, "if we'd played VATech instead of LATech and lost, at least VATech plays Virginia and UNC and beats them."
For a bunch of Big 10 smart kids, they seem to have very short memories. We've beaten the I-L-L...I-N-I twice in 3 years. The last time, it was the same year we pounded VIRGINIA. Just sayin'.

At some point you have to take your lumps and shut your mouth. Better yet...give kudos to the team that just beat ya.
Ill fans have NO ROOM to be dissing Tech. We have whipped them TWICE, doubling their score both times. The games were not that close. And! we have whipped them at their place and at a neutral field. Bet we would hang 60 on 'em in Ruston like we smoked: Rice, UTEP and WKU! All bowl teams too, BTW.
