The Tech team that didn't give up!
Dixon made the strip!
The whole team. Offense looked sluggish, but recovered. Defense excellent all the way (okay the uncalled hold helped).
Bates wa MVP but I think Sokol made a good comeback. Dixon probably MVP on offense. What about Henderson doing King's job running, and then running away from that lineman (Smoots) who tried to cover him. The announcers said Henderson was a mismatch against anyone on the Illini team, much less a guy like Smoots.
Dixon and Sokol both deserve credit on that play. After getting hit Sokol got on his bike and got back into a position where he could make the recovery.
Funny how recovering that changed the mood - players and fans...disaster averted and follow up to get TD - HUGE. At least I saw that regardless of the struggle on the field from Q2, through Q3 and into Q4 - the guys had NOT GIVEN UP. After ODU and Marshall I almost had...
Let's not forget that the play or two after that was the long pass to Henderson. Huge swing over 3-4 plays.
I still can't believe Henderson got caught from behind!
Amazing that Sokol could even get back in the play. That showed his drive and unwillingness to give up. His QB play this game was not close to his best, but that was key!
Not that my pix trump the excellent ESPN video. But here's my sequence.
