Did not realize that. They gave USM the shaft back in 2011 as conference champion for a Vanderbilt - Cincinnati matchup. Don't care if we ever go back.......and we probably won't anyway.

I think my preferences are always for who we play and proximaty as opposed to the Bowl itself with exception of course to Access Bowls. As an old SWC fan, I hold the Cotton Bowl in high regards. That makes it number one on my list. Being able to literally play for the Cotton Bowl almost every year is the single best thing about the new playoff. I think that CUSA has a solid stable of bowl games right now. No its not the SEC's slate but gimme a break! The HOD was amazing!! The Miami Beach Bowl has promise, The Boca Bowl will be against AAC some years and the Bahamas is that once in a lifetime game that I can con my wife into. New Mexico, Hawaii, NOLA all have good qualities given that we have stayed home with 7 wins so many times in our past.
