Big 12 on its way to two-and-done...

A&M wins 45-37, and Clemson is threatening to haul Oklahoma behind the woodshed up 27-0 with 4 minutes left in the 1st half.

That OU loss is really starting to make us look bad, of course they had Trevor Knight at the time.

Big 12 off to a rough start.

Maybe Texas can salvage the day for 'em.

Oklahoma is out back at 0-40 down and Sooner Nation is leaving the stadium before the 4th quarter even starts.

Big 12 out as fast as it was in....40-6 Clemson beats Oklahoma.

Down to just the $EC, Pac 12, and Big Ten to challenge C-USA.

Watching Dabo Sweeny interview makes me feel like I would pay him whatever he wanted to coach my school. That guy is a major class act.

Which is why 2014 is NOT a great year for us. It was a good year, that ended on a VERY positive note, a bowl win. But the regular season was very, very mediocre. At the time we lost to OK and Auburn they were considered Top 5 teams. So, our being competitive was a good thing. Turns out that both OK and AU are down this year (by their standards). Many of us said it at the time, losing to NSU means you are not that good. We have had many, many, many Tech teams who did NOT bowl that would have hammered that NSU bunch.

In 2012 we took a legit Top 10 aTm to the wire. Trounced two other P5s and our only losses were to ranked opponents.

Now, not to rain on our parade. I am pleased with the bowl win. This season ended on a high note, no doubt about it. Now, let's see what Holtz can do about parlaying this into a truly GOOD 2015 regular season.

Inconsistent. At times, we played like a Top 25 team (ULL, UNT, UTEP, Rice, WKU, Marshall), other times we played like a Bottom 25 team (NSU, ODU), and times we played mediocre (USM, UAB, Illinois, UTSA, Auburn, OU).

Re: Bowl Season Days 7 and 8 (December 29-30, 2014)

We finished strong and that is what counts. 9 wins is 9 wins. We were young when we played Ou, they were healthy. Auburn is more of an inigma. They has a similar season to ours in that they were up then down then back up again. I just dont see the SEC losing any bowl games this year. I am sure I will be proven wrong but so far it doesn't look like it. The Big12 has only played the teams that had no business in a bowl this year. Their better teams will win, but not before the lower end teams prove that TCU and Baylor had no business in the playoff. The Big ten should do the same for Ohio State, but we all know that ESPiN won't prtray it that way.
