Agreed. Dez Bryant made a wonderful, athletic catch on 4th down. Should have been ruled a TD, because the Packers player never touched him when he went down. Total rip off by the "National Fixed League". Even the TV announcers are embarrassed when they try to explain this one.

The problem with that is, it's very clear that the Lions player, 1) pushed off of the defender, and 2) grabbed the defender's face mask before the ball arrived. Meanwhile, the Cowboys defender had his arms raised in clear view the entire time. How is THAT a penalty? For the record, face guarding is LEGAL in the NFL.

It should also be mentioned that the circumstances were completely different today. The call in the Lions game came with the Lions AHEAD by 3 points, and there was plenty of time left in the game. It could have gone either way. There were no guarantees that the Cowboys could come back and win.

However, today's poor call came on a big 4th Down conversion IN THE END ZONE, with only 2 min left in the game. Much different scenario.

Correction: Dez Bryant caught the ball and took THREE (3) complete steps before hitting the ground/lunging into the end zone.

While I do hate the Cowboys and love the fact they lost, the NFL rules suck. I can't even watch it anymore becuase of the BS rules on the touching the QB and a DBS can't touch the reciever but the receiver can push off without penalty. It's also BS that a pass interference penalty is a spot foul. With replay now every play is analyzed which is rediculous.

I will stick with College and our bad refs. Still way more enjoyable than the No Fun League.

Item 1: Player Going to the Ground. If a player goes to the ground in the act of catching a pass (with or without contact
by an opponent), he must maintain control of the ball throughout the process of contacting the ground, whether in the
field of play or the end zone. If he loses control of the ball, and the ball touches the ground before he regains control,
the pass is incomplete. If he regains control prior to the ball touching the ground, the pass is complete.

Yep. Been happening to us for at least 2 years. There were other plays that cost the boys the win. Besides who says GB and Rodgers wouldn't have drove down field for the FG or TD.
    Still a strange rule.

In other latest news.....similar to what has happened to the Saints the last few years.

Dez Bryant, DeMarco Murray head toward free agency, too

Coach Jason Garrett and defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli are now free to leave Dallas. So are running back
DeMarco Murray and receiver Dez Bryant.
Both have completed their rookie contracts. Both, in theory, could be re-signed. One franchise tag is available for either player.

From everything I have read "by the rule" the ruling was as it should have been but I have read some pretty staunch Cowboy haters even admit that the real problem here is that it is a stupid rule.

I'm not sure what the big deal is anyway. If the call was wrong the NFL will clearly admit the mistake and apologize
on Monday. Just ask the Detroit

I do think the PI called on Tramon was bogus. I don't remember the down and distance, so that call may not have really influenced the score anyway. Just thought it was a bad call....and not because Tramon is a Dawg!

There were bad calls both ways. The replay on the GB WR late in first half was clearly incomplete, yet stood. The Dez no-catch is not why we lost the game. Just like I said last week about the Lions game, it is what you do after that. The cowboys had a chance to stop them and get the ball back and couldn't do it.

    Re: NFL Playoffs....Super Bowl

There was about 5 mins left, maybe a little less, on the Bryant reversal play. Dallas never saw the ball again. GB converted and MTC and ran out the clock. Dallas' D needed to come up big and get a stop....they couldn't. As I recall, Dallas had all 3 TOs and the silly 2-minute warning, so the clock would stop FOUR times too. And still GB kept the ball. The tipped pass and catch to convert that 3rd and long was the key play.

Of course, the same argument(s) can be made to Detroit. The controversial PI call occurred with Detroit in the lead. They did get a bad 10-yard punt, but still Dallas had 50+ yards to go to take the lead. The Lions' D needed to man-up and get a stop. They didn't. And then, Dallas scored with 2+ mins left. The Lions' offense had its chance to go down and win the game. They couldn't.

This time, if Dallas scores they take the lead either 27-26 or 29-26 if they make the 2-pt conversion. There would have been, likely, 4 mins left for GB to do something on offense.

Due to contact with the defender, it should have been 1st and goal. The rule is the rule and I hate the cowgirls. However, they got hosed by a crappy rule.

If it is a rule how did they get hosed? If so, many teams have gotten hosed since the rule in 2011.
The NFL has become nothing more than pro wrestling under Goodell.
