Along the same vein, if you lived in the apartments north of the railroad tracks and you got sick, you'd have to go all the way across campus to get to the Health Center at the southwest corner of campus.

The middle of the main campus (the area south of the railroad tracks) would probably be where the Student Center is right now. If you include the athletic facility, the geographic center moves to around Hale Hall/Memorial Gym.

At least the Health Center would be at the Intramural Center where a lot of students go to exercise and where some of the new apartment complexes are located.

In a rambling kind of way that was the point I was making. The campus housing seems to be moving north. I only went there a couple of times, so hardly ever thought about it.

They'e putting the new"infirmary" way out on the north side of the campus away from everybody -- well it is close to the new apartments, and looking at the map there are a lot of the apartments near by But what if you were in Pierce or over there and got sick? At least the old infirmary was in the middle of the campus for then. Speaking of the middle where would it be now? If you include The TAS, JAS , baseball and softball it would probably be about Hale Hall.

The current infirmary isn't near anyone in South Hall, or near middle of campus, moving up north it will be closer to more of the students.

I agree with that. The old infirmary was behind Harper hall. Maybe in the building no. 80 on the official map which says Housing Office or at least in that location.

When I was there 1965-1969. It may have been somewhere else earlier.

Just to follow-up on Germdawg's post 181 in this thread, this was given to the state in pdf form regarding the dorm expansion. What the state received wasn't a very clear copy.

This may be a rehash of an earlier discussion a week or so ago since y'all are always on top of things and the Leader is invariably behind. Anyway, thought someone might like to read this editorial. Thanks. Maybe it is a good plan after all. Hadn't thought about it being an actual word, but I play a word game online and should know by now that most any combination of consonants and vowels will make an actual word, weird as they may seem. But then any of you crossword people would know that.
