I'll never understand this argument. I'm not an SEC fan. I'm not a Big 12 fan. I'm not a Pac-12 fan. I'm a fan of Louisiana Tech and college football. There's nothing wrong with that. I can give props to a good SEC team. I thought the SEC was the best conference during the regular season. I can give props to the job Urban Meyer has done at Ohio State. I didn't think the Buckeyes deserved to be in the playoffs (I wanted Baylor and TCU ahead of OSU), but he's done a tremendous job there this season. There's nothing wrong with tipping your hat when someone does something good or calling a spade a spade. There are too many Tech fans who feel like anything positive said about another school is a knock on Tech. I like college football. I follow what's going on outside of Ruston. There's nothing wrong with that.

I'll admit that I was a SEC fan a few years ago before E$PN bought the rights to televise them. Ever since whichever SEC wins this weekend is in the top 10!
Disclaimer: I never pulled for an LSU win, Ole Miss only to beat LSU, and Arkansas and Georgia to win their bowl games if I didn't like or appreciate the other team more.
A couple of things that were a bit premature this year...1) Kenny Trill and 2) the SEC West becoming part of the NFL
Exactly. Geography has a lot to do with it too. I've always said that avoiding the SEC talk in the southeast is similar to trying to get away from Big East basketball talk when you live in Philadelphia, Boston, or somewhere similar in the northeast. It simply can't be done.
