Bama loses in their semifinal and all the rednecks in NELA put up their Bama gear for the year.....license plates have been removed from trucks....yard flags have been taken down for 9 months.
These poor bastards don't have Bama or LSU to pull for right now. I love it.

Over here in Alabama, the only time they come down is when they are being replaced due to wear. I try not to think about how many burgundy pickups are in this state.
Always the case. I was in the Bossier Mall a day or two after Ohio State beat Miami (2002?) in that controversial game (the PI that wasn't) and the folks pouring out of the sports' stores, all carrying brand new Ohio State gear. Amazing.
Remember these are the same clowns that suddenly supported ULM after they beat Arkansas.
Beating a crappy SEC team does wonders for their fanbase for about a year (if LSU happens to be doing poorly, that is).
