Who Should Tech Consider to Fill the Vacant Football Coach Positions?

I find it curious that footballscoop.com hasn't reported that Blake Baker is being promoted to DC. They usually report on everything, even Division III and NAIA. They sure jumped on LSU's hiring of Ed Orgeron.

Maybe they thought getting the first scoop on Giles leaving was enough "first scoop" for 24 hours.

There are a few sources speculating that Duke's Defensive Line coach Rick Petri has left to become Louisiana Tech's DL coach. Petri previously coached at Louisiana Tech in 1992.

I wasn't in favor of Giles being bumped up to DC, but from all I've heard he was as good as it gets as a DLine coach.

Why don't we leave Baker at DC/Safety's and hire a LB Coach? Why is he moving to LB's along with the DC promotion?
