Where was Brown Stadium???
Its the old track stadium next to NLU's current stadium. My grandfather took PE there in the early 50s.
Was there ten years later (1968) in Old Brown Stadium to see Terry Bradshaw and Co. wipe out the NLSC Indians. Richie Golman ran the opening kick-off back for a touchdown and it was never close. Must have packed over 10,000 in the old 6,000 seat stadium. They brought in all the portable bleachers they could find.
I was there too. Think that was the game a nlu player kneed Bradshaw in the stomach. Really pissed him off. Had to leave the game for one play. Came back in and completed about 3 straight passes ending in a touchdown. Crummy place to play.Originally Posted by Houston Techsan

Nope...wasn't there.....my first TECH game was the State Fair Game in 1965. I was a senior in high school.

One of my friends from Alabama got this as a Christmas gift. I thought that was a pretty cool piece of Tech memorabilia.

I missed that game. I was 13 at the time. Days, not years.
