The problem with these smaller bowls is uninformed fans compare them with the Sugar Bowl or Rose Bowl and think they are worthless. ESPN looks at it completely different. They compare the HOD Bowl with the Southeast Regional Kickboxing Championships, The Northwestern PBA Bowling Tournament and The World Series of Bass Fishing while playing poker tourney. Because that is what they'd be showing if there was no College Football on. And college football, ANY college football, has been proven to outdraw all of that other crap.
I saw the billboards in Dallas before the game, and I saw this one on I-30 as well. Well done.
Now LA Tech needs to capitalize on this "good will" by designing a "Texas plan" for Texas high school kids considering attending LA Tech. It doesn't matter that we already treat them very fair, we need to make sure we put a vehicle in place that is designed to draw more students from the Dallas area. LA Tech is already a HUGE financial bargain compared to most of the D1A schools in Texas, and certainly versus the ones in the DFW area. It's really just about marketing to these Texas HS kids now.
What novel idea, HD. But that is so 2014. We've got a man (Daniel Dupuy) in the Metroplex and an office already specifically recruiting HS students from there.
His appointment is a direct result of LG's desired presence between Ruston and the Metroplex.
Thanks for keeping up.
