The one hopeful thing I hear is concern about survival at the schools that are in the poorest financial position. That's a new to the equation. Hopefully that will lead those schools to work toward the best worse-case situation now rather than risk total elimination in the future. Maybe we can start down the path of consolidation this year. There's going to be blood in the water with this year's budget reconciliation.
Otherwise, as others on this board have pointed out, some of these schools face being starved out of existence in the next 3 to 5 - 7 years.
It's time to close the doors to the Temple of Janus.
