Sounds like he is expecting Driskel to have a good year.

Just noticed they were listed in alphabetical order, not the order in which he predicts them to be in.

Just noticed Western Kentucky is in that list as well. Our defense should be better than their defense giving us the edge. The revenge factor and at their house should make for a very interesting game.

Will we continue our good defense without Manny? IMO -- the big question.

There will no doubt be a drop but I think we'll still have a Top 25 D.

A top 20 Offense and a Top 25 Defense would make for a Peach Bowl invite and a Top 25 ranking. I really hope you are right.

As exhaustively outlined elsewhere, we basically had this and a few bad losses hurt our cred. Top 25 defense was locked down and I would put our offense in the 30-35 range.

You guys have crazy expectations for next year. Without Manny we will be lucky to be a top 50 defense and the offense will be more conservative which may make a top 70. We created so many turnovers and points off TO's and if we only drop 50% we are around where I predict. Anything worse than a 7-5 season or a loss to ULL will be a disaster. The ULL and WKU games will make or break our season. If Holtz molds the offense to Driskel (read option and some bombs) or Wilson (quick passes and bombs) we could have a great year. My guess is we are going to ride Dixon and run the T formation more next year and not put it into the QBs hands. Now that we have TE's and FB I bet we run some I or pro sets and less shotgun.

I cant wait until the spring to see what next year could bring but my expectations are 7-5 to 10-2 (wishful thinking).

Having a QB that is actually a threat to run should really help the run game. Last year DE's never bit on the QB fake at all, they sucked in every time. That shouldn't happen if Driskell is half the runner he's supposed to be.

He transformed MTSU when he was there, and they say they have not had a decent defense since he left.

Everyone seems to think that OU's new Air Raid offense will light up the scoreboard. We'll see.

Re: Predicting the Top 20 Offenses of the 2015 College Football Season - Louisiana Te

We are going less spread and more pro or I formation, ie traditional offense next year based on what I'm hearing. I don't care what offense we run as long as it works. Based on our talent, I would run the read option with the ability to throw, so a triple option. Aka Oregon with Driskel. If Price is the man, I would go traditional with a lot of play action. Run the system that best suits your players and recruit to the type of system you want to run.

I think the D will be good again but Manny was a huge factor because of his passion and discipline. I have never met Baker and hope he brings the same qualities. A team can do amazing things when they are expected to play at a high lvl and are accountable to each to play at that level.

Can we be as good or better than 2014, yes. Can we be as bad as 2013, probably not. At least I no longer fear that 2015 can possibly be the disaster of 2013. Do I think Holtz and the coaches are doing a good job, absolutely. Another Bowl this year Holtz and the coaching staff should get a raise.

Let's see if we can be consistant and have back to back good years.
