I don't remember them

I remember seeing a pic of Kyle Gibson in a red jersey. We probably just wore them for one or two WAC road games. It was before all the games were streamed online and before the social media explosion. I can't find a pic right now, but I did find one of them in some red sweats.

I remember that same picture of Kyle. That was in Rupp's first year. Got new unis the next two years, which were just white and blue.

Interesting, I just got my new LTAC shirt in the mail and was a bit surprised to find out it was cardinal Red??
I guess if I was in town it would be awesome for the Red out football and basketball games but you would think they would have sent out LaTech blue???

I thought I heard Dave say on the broadcast that this was the first time since 1999 we were back in all red?

I remember the promo pic you are talking about, just can't remember the jersies

Ok, thought I heard for football it was more or less set.

Yea, would have been much better had they worn orange, and we could wear red, and that would contrast great on TV

For football, uniform changes have to be requested before the start of the season.

Jersey Color and Design

ARTICLE 5. a. Players of opposing teams shall wear jerseys of contrasting colors. Players on the same team shall wear jerseys of the same color and design.

1. The visiting team shall wear white jerseys; however, the home team may wear white jerseys if the teams have agreed in writing before the season.

2. If the home team wears colored jerseys, the visiting team may also wear colored jerseys, if and only if the following conditions have been satisfied:
a. The home team has agreed in writing prior to the game; and
b. The conference of the home team certifies that the jersey of the visiting team is of a contrasting color.

3. If on the kickoff at the start of each half, the visiting team wears a colored jersey in violation of the conditions specified in paragraph 2 (above), it is a foul for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Here is the men's basketball rule:

Opposing team uniforms shall be of contrasting colors. The home team shall wear light game jerseys and game pants and the away team shall wear dark game jerseys and game pants. This rule may be altered by mutual consent of the competing institutions.
