At least it's in Ruston (from what I'm hearing).
2020? I'll believe we're playing them when I see it on the 2020-22 schedule posters.
2-for-1 is about as good as we can hope for I guess. Just thankful its not a away-and-done.
Who will HD pull for???
2020 is a long ways away. I wouldn't get my hopes up just yet. We still haven't played Miss State at home as promised and we all know what happend to the BYU game.
I like the part about having our home game in the middle. It would be even better to have it first, but I understand why Baylor would not do that. Hope they don't have a "side agreement" to play the game in Shreveport.
Is this the first contract by our new AD or just the first one that one our BBB readers have discovered and broken?
It's too early to judge. It's good that we got a home game against Baylor, but we don't know what we sacrificed yet. We have no idea what the financial details are. Typically, 2-for-1s are bad deals. We'll have to wait and see with this one. Remember, the JUCO scheduled a home-and-home with Baylor, not a 2-for-1.
McClelland's first scheduling move was to push back the 2014 return game to UNLV to the 2020 season.
McClelland's second scheduling move was the Southern game, which we are reportedly paying SU almost 2.5x the guarantee we paid NWST.
I think this would be his third scheduling move.

Yes on the first part. We never got the home games from our 2-for-1 deals with Clemson or Texas A&M.
However, there's nothing we can do if Mississippi State wants to buy out of the game in Ruston. They pay the buyout money from the contract (likely ~$300K) if they don't want to play in Ruston, and that's it. Remember BVDV pissed off Mississippi State a few years ago when we bought out of a game at the last minute leaving MSST in a scheduling bind.
According to JFord, We get $500,000 for the third game.
Thanks Kim!

It's a pay-day game in 2020 ($500k), then 1-for-1 in 2021/2022
