On Friday, Breaux Bridge played St. Thomas More and dropped the perennial power Lady Cougars 49-41 to move into the driver’s seat for the District 5-4A championship...

“I’m excited for these kids and for the program,” Lady Tigers assistant coach Scotty Borel said. “We have a lot of respect for STM and we know if you want to be the best, you have to beat the best. This is a great victory for us because not only does it put us in first place alone, but I believe this is the first time that we have ever beaten St. Thomas More.”
“I really can’t even (put it into words),” Lady Tigers senior forward Jasmine LeBlanc said. “I’m too excited. We finally won. It means a lot because we always seem to lose to them. We just wanted to win and we did.”
With the win, the Lady Tigers improved to 20-3 overall, 6-0 in district and are sitting in first place by themselves...

LeBlanc finished the game with a game-high 28 points despite being fronted and double-teamed most of the game...

Another big win for future Techster Jasmine LeBlanc - 27 points to lead all scores in Breaux Bridge's upset win over St Michael's (44-47) in the regional round of the 4A playoffs.
The Lady Warriors had a chance to tie with a 3 with 2.1 seconds left, but shot was blocked by LeBlanc.

FYI, Breaux Bridges is on a 19 game win streak going into the quarterfinals.

The Cubs don't have Tyler Summit and I am a believer in just what he has done with other coach's players in only this year. I have never seen a more disciplined and strong coach. The future is bright! He needs all of our support, though.
