Tyler Summitt: No Show
Today makes TWICE that Tyler Summitt was a NO SHOW for his Tech Tuesday interview on The Tim Fletcher Show in the past month. Not a good look. A few weeks ago they filled the time slot joking about Summitt's voice mail. This morning Fletch filled that time slot talking about the "great things" the JUCO was doing with their corner end zone facility. This "no show" problem needs to be righted ASAP.

Is he committed to the be on the radio show per contract?

I'm sure Summitt had a valid excuse
The first time? Maybe, which is why I didn't say anything a few weeks ago. However, Summitt has now been a no show for two of his last four scheduled interviews with probably Tech's biggest ally in the local media. The fault rests with Tyler and Malcolm. If something comes up and he can't do the interview, then they need to let Fletch know so he's not left hanging with a voice mail during what's supposed to be a Tech segment. Or they could let Mickie do the interview if Tyler can't. This is unacceptable and is just as bad as Spoon skipping postgame interviews after losses.Originally Posted by rebelboi

This does not pass the red faced test. Once maybe, but twice is not acceptable!
Not being mindful of commitments to others is a bad personality trait. I hope Coach Summitt is young enough to ditch this habit.
"No Show" Summitt would work for a country singer but not a collegiate head coach.
He does not lack manners or common courtesy. It's not the job of the WBBHC to communicate with media regarding interview times and such. Communication break down...who is in charge of that?
He is the WBBHC, so his commitments are his. Whomever else you want to blame may be the reason for poor communication. But it is Coach Summitt who is not showing up.
Suppose he told his peeps, "Look I'm not going to be able to call in to Fletch today. Please let him know..."
If he did not do that, it's on him. It would not be surprising if his peeps did not do their job. It's also possible that he did not know (until today) that they did not do their job.
All true. If its happened twice, someone named Tommy needs to ask him about it.
He was scheduled to be on "The Morning Drive" this morning. Not sure if he made that one.
He made the coaches show last night following a 10 hour bus ride.
There seems to be some slippage of some sort - don't know who is at fault at this point, but it needs to be fixed. Brings back "bad" memories of the football team losing a lot of players due to academic problems.
He slept in this morning. Last time he missed also.
Hey, he's only 23. I'm sure he just overslept.
I make it a practice to find out what happened before I judge what happened.
