Dang the cowgirls make it so easy to poke fun.

COWBOYS DEFENSIVE END RANDY GREGORY SUSPENDED FOUR GAMES

The Cowboys knew they were taking a risk when they drafted Randy Gregory, at a time when many teams backed off.
That risk has now been realized.
Gregory has been suspended four games for violating the league’s policy on substance abuse. He can still participate in offseason programs and the preseason, but won’t play in the first four regular season games.
Gregory tested positive for marijuana at last year’s combine, causing the Nebraska pass-rusher to fall to the second round. The Cowboys insisted they had the right kind of support in place for him, though he apparently slipped through the cracks.
He was part of an offseason splurge on pass-rushers that included free agent Greg Hardy, now it seems unlikely that either of them will suit up for the Cowboys, at least for the first month of the season.
Gregory didn’t have a sack last year, derailed in part by an early ankle injury. But now, there’s another obstacle in the way of his comeback.

Jerry Jones sure has an eye for talent. It's just the wrong type of talent. I thought New Orleans is suppose to be the party town.

JOSEPH RANDLE ARRESTED FOR FIFTH TIME IN 18 MONTHS
Last Updated 1:02 PM, February 21, 2016 EST
Former Cowboys running back Joseph Randle has been arrested for the fifth time in the last year and a half.
This time Randle was arrested in Kansas on three counts of aggravated battery, one count of drug possession and one count of criminal damage, TMZ reports.
It’s the latest in a long line of legal problems for Randle. Three weeks ago he was arrested in Texas on an outstanding traffic warrant when he went to his ex-girlfriend’s home and residents who didn’t want him there called police. In November Randle was arrested when he allegedly tried to fight a security guard at a casino.
A year ago Randle was arrested on drug charges after police responded to a domestic violence call. In October of 2014 Randle was arrested for stealing underwear and cologne.
Randle started the first six games of the season for the Cowboys last year, rushing 76 times for 315 yards and four touchdowns.

REPORT: DEMARCUS LAWRENCE FACING FOUR-GAME SUSPENSION

Report: DeMarcus Lawrence facing four-game suspension

Posted by Josh Alper on April 20, 2016, 4:37 PM EDT

Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said this week that improving the team’s pass rush is a draft priority, something that didn’t come as much of a surprise given the current makeup of their defensive front.
The need may be even more urgent than we thought, however.
David Moore of the Dallas Morning News reports that Cowboys defensive endDemarcus Lawrence is facing a four-game suspension for a violation of the league’s substance abuse policy. Per the report, Lawrence is appealing the suspension — no penalties are announced until the appeal process has concluded — but that “all indications” are that the penalty will remain in place.
If that is the case, Lawrence would join Randy Gregory on the suspended list for the first four games of the season and the Cowboys will be skeletally thin on the edges of the defensive line.

Re: Dallas's Dale Hanson rips Cowboy signing

And another one bites the dust. The cowgirls are cornering the market for suspended players.

RVING, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys linebacker Rolando McClain has been suspended for the season's first 10 games for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy, the league announced.

McClain, 26, was suspended the first four games of last season for violating the policy.

In March, the Cowboys re-signed McClain to a one-year deal worth up to $5 million. He is set to receive a $1.25 million base salary and could earn $125,000 for each game he is on the 46-man roster, maxing out at $2 million. He also has $1 million in playing-time incentives.
Per the collective bargaining agreement, McClain could be forced to repay the $750,000 signing bonus he received as part of the deal. McClain faces the possibility of being released, however, which would preclude the Cowboys from seeing the bonus money returned.
It is another chapter in a tumultuous career for McClain, who was the eighth pick of the 2010 draft by the Oakland Raiders. He was released after the 2012 season in which he was deactivated for the final five games. He retired twice, including after a stint of about one month with the Baltimore Ravens in 2013.
The Cowboys acquired McClain in a trade from the Ravens on July 1, 2014, after losing Sean Lee to a season-ending knee injury. In 12 games in 2014, McClain was credited by the coaches with 108 tackles. He also had a sack, nine tackles for loss, five quarterback pressures, two interceptions, five pass deflections and a forced fumble.

After a four-game suspension last season, Cowboys LB Rolando McClain has been suspended 10 games this season for violating the substance abuse policy. AP Photo/Brandon WadeMcClain had knee surgery after the season, which kept him out of the 2015 offseason program and off the practice field through almost all of training camp as he worked himself into better shape. He was initially to be fined four game checks for violating the substance abuse policy in 2015 but had another misstep that led to his suspension.
In 11 games in 2015, he was credited with 97 tackles, two sacks, nine tackles for loss, 10 pressures, one interception and three pass breakups.
He signed a third one-year deal with the Cowboys in March, and the Cowboys hoped he would take part in the full offseason program. Once again he missed the organized team activities as he tended to family issues in Alabama, according to coach Jason Garrett.
When he returned for the mandatory June minicamp, McClain was not in shape and did not practice, spending his time off to the side, working on his conditioning. Owner and general manager Jerry Jones said McClain was given some "slack." However, that appeared contrary to Garrett's thoughts, as the coach said twice McClain was expected to be at the second and third weeks of OTAs.
Defensive end Randy Gregory will be suspended the first four games.DeMarcus Lawrence, who led the Cowboys with eight sacks last season, also is suspended for four games after his appeal was denied Thursday.
