Also hearing that our AD and their AD have agreed in principle to bring back football for 4 years starting in 2017 - Here, There, There and Here - staggered this way to SUPPOSEDLY keep us from buying out after the first game - Community Trust supposedly to be title sponsor for the I-20 Showdown -

So far we have dodged the bullet in basketball, but with them agreeing in principle to football - that can't be far behind

These concessions are being made in regard to the local legislators to hopefully help dodge more budget cuts and show the value to the surrounding communities

Yeah, I heard it. Problem is that his boss the AD doesn't understand what the potential problem is with that and probably won't step in. Just play the games and continue to own them in the series. Still no need to play them in MBB or Football.

Postgame interview with Goff was outstanding. He talked about how much he loves guys like Bristo and Tobias. Bristo a Monroe kid who has struggled out of the gate and even got left at home last weekend, but Monday he came in the office and said Coach I'm ready to go if you need me and he loved the perseverence with how he stepped up and showed the staff what he showed all fall. He mentioned how Tobias was only making I believe his second start of the year and has never once complained, but he stepped up with a two run single to change the game. He loves how guys are buying in and he is looking forward to this team continuing to grow. He also mentioned that it is a high possibility that we will play Monroe three times a year just I like mentioned and he loves the idea because Monroe has a quality coach and a team that our guys love competing against. Awesome night at the Shack last night, never had a crowd out there in my days, but it was fun to see some high quality baseball and a Bulldog win. Now beat WKU.

I'm more in favor of playing them in baseball than football. If we happen to play them in football, then so be it, we should handle them with the direction that Holtz has us headed. We all saw what we did to the Sun Belt Champion Lafayette. Game was over at half, but I'm all for playing them in baseball. The Shack needs that atmosphere.

It has nothing to do with being from the area. It has to do with having pride in your school and knowing the history of your school and who the rivalries were against and wanting to be apart of it. I'm not from Ruston, but I sure as hell dont like ulm. Let's see if its a rivalry tomorrow night.

No, trying to force a rivalry with ULM has NOTHING to do with having pride in your school. I think you are the only one here who doesn't understand the history of your school. The rivalry is dead, over, nonexistent. It ended sometime last century, and that's where it should stay - part of history. You are really out of touch if you think Tech students from this millennium view ULM or want ULM as a rival.

ULM only announces Elite scores, too. Except I think they failed to mention this result at their "championship" basketball game. After all the #WreckTech buildup, the @ULMWarhawks account didn't even acknowledge this game after we won.

Their Yankee coach has been reading our board. He mentioned us (THE BBB) on the radio this morning. Started to take a shot at Dawg06, then backed off pretty quick. I thought he was a pretty nice guy, but maybe not.

Mentioned the Tech message board saying that Tech should not have helped them out (referring to Dawg06's post) and how they would have done the same..., but then it was like he realized what an idiot he was being for bringing it up and quickly changed the subject.

Lafayette did not win the Belch championship. Georgia Southern did, but they were ineligible for postseason play. In Hudspeth's 4 years, ULL has only managed 1 Belch co-championship, yet they have proclaimed themselves "Home of Champions."
