Good news to hear. Has Texas fired their coach or is that rumor? I doubt they would come for White but we will see.
At least Auburn WANT to be relevant in basketball

Many otherwise knowledgeable people don't understand that SEC football reputation does not transfer to the SEC basketball reality.
As we all know, the SEC football reputation took a hit last season. Other than 2 or 3 teams each season, SEC basketball is not nationally relevant. Most "SEC fans" I talk to don't get it.
Tennessee is not willing to pay what other P5 schools are paying for top coaches.
Good old Memorial Gym
Whatever that number is, I believe MW wants one of those jobs. I believe Tennessee would be if they were not in such a mess right now. Bama is not one. As much as I pull for Wichita State, they aren't either.
Why step off into a mess or a job with unreachable standards when you can continue to pad your resume'? The only answer is more money.
No chance. The ACC is a great league. But not every job is great. Duke, UNC, Notre Dame. Those are destination jobs. I might throw in the Louisville job, which is a great basketball job that has had two very good coaches over the past 40-plus years. After that, though, is a bit iffy.
Who knows with Syracuse. Is that really a destination job? I guess we'll find out in three years. They haven't hired a new coach in 40 years, when their coach was hired away by Tulane. Jim Boeheim played at Syracuse and was an assistant there, so he never left. But he won one national title, and has made only one other Final Four appearance in the past 20 years. I'm not sure that's a top-tier job, but we'll see.
Prior to Tony Bennett's arrival, Virginia was an also-ran. They haven't had a coach in the past 25 years to coach even .600 ball. They're a great program now, but I'm sure he'd leave if a better job came calling (just like he left Washington State for Virginia).
N.C. State could be considered a great job. It has two national titles and is located in a hotbed of basketball passion. But Herb Sendek bailed out of town for Arizona State, and his successor, Sidney Lowe, didn't make the tournament once. And while Mark Gottfried has done a good job, making the Sweet 16 for the second time in four years, the Wolfpack aren't exactly a national power and have finished with double-digit losses all four of his seasons. I don't consider that a destination job.
You really want to tell me Miami, Pitt, Florida State, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Boston College and Wake Forest are destination jobs? All of those are OK jobs in a great league.

Wisconsin & Kansas are two schools I haven't seen posted on this thread.
