Pitching is so important. I went to the Oregon State /California game last night and watched Andrew Moore strike out 13 batters in a 4-0 complete game. He gave up 2 hits and both of them were caught try to steal a base.

Todays pitcher is a freshman that threw a perfect game earlier this year.

Moore is a junior and may enter the draft. I think the freshman may stick around for another year at least.

I think the freshman has to stay around for at least two years. From what I understand, MLB can't draft a player until he is a junior when he attends a D1 school.

3 years at a D1/4-year school. So red-shirt + 2 years playing OR 3 years playing.

1 or 2 years at a JUCO. So after either Frosh or Soph JUCO year

I thought the Goff hire was a great one at the time, and it is indeed proving to be a great one. There is a lot of excitement for many sports at Tech right now.
