Dixon is 3rd or 4th best heading into his senior year...

Moats, Cooper, Davis were all better and Porter is right there with Cooper and Davis -

That's not even mentioning Roland Harper and Quick Six McDaniel -

Dixon had a solid bounce back year after his injury plagued sophomore year and an inflated freshman year

Trent Taylor is also a stud.

Dixon was more productive last year than his Freshman year...

    2012:
    Rushing: 1,194
    Receiving: 35
    Total: 1,229
    TDs: 28

    2014:
    Rushing: 1,299
    Receiving: 385
    Total: 1,684
    TDs: 28

I would still take Moats over Dixon, but both are really good. I think Cooper and Davis benefited from some very good linemen. They were good, but not as good as Moats and Dixon, imo. Moats and Dixon don't really need much of a line, and Dixon has only had 1 good line in 3 years here. (freshman year).

Since you are the founder of the AB fan club, how do you think Barnes compares to Anderson?

Bingo! on DD and JD. They could play for my team anytime!!!

Moats was special, and Porter was a consistent, workhorse. Great backs....period.

This will be KD's senior year. I expect something special from him. Stay healthy....and watch out! Like, 2,000 yards kind-of-watch-out!!

The thing about this group is what they are as a team. If the defense comes together this could be the most complete team in my lifetime. 33 years. We have had amazing RB's, QB's, and receivers. And good players on defense as well. I don't know that we have had the wealth of 1st stringers like this upcoming season before.

Willie Smith DB - played 1994 and 1995. Had 13 interceptions in 21 games. Made all-American.
A true lockdown corner. Died a tragic death.

Doug Evans DB/Safety - played in early 90's with the best Tech defense of all time. Went on to have a good pro career.

Evans seemed to be our only player that could tackle against Clemson. (or was that Gray?)

Yeah, I should have mentioned JD. I liked DD but he's not in Moats, Dixon or JD's class. People remember Moats as a Barry Sanders type but Moats could move the pile and MORE than held his own on the goal line. Those are my top 3 in no particular order. Moats, JD, Dixon. As a matter of fact, that is my order considering Dixon has a year left and Moats was robbed of his Fr and part of his Soph season. Dixon could easily end up #1 come December.

I lean toward this view. I think Dixon has better hands than Moats and he can pick up the blitz. Moats was better behind the line of scrimmage in terms of cutbacks and finding a crease. Moats was quicker with better acceleration. Dixon is more violent in terms of raw power. I would've said Moats was better in the open field until last season. I don't think that way any more.

I think Moats and JD held on to the ball better than Dixon. I know it's a product of fighting for extra yards but it still hurts.

Porter amazed me when almost every player on the other team surrounded him as a group of players...kind of like a rugby scrum...then all of a sudden...Porter would come out of the group and be running down the field. I saw him do that several times.

I've noticed an improvement in terms of when to get down and wait for the next play. I'd like to see him avoid getting into boastful sparring with opponents. (I can understand if they're intentionally gouging at his eyes though.)
