is Keelyn Johnson still committed?

...still committed? Was he ever?
I realize this was not the situation with Johnson, but it looks like some of the guys we see "committing" to schools are simply getting offers or chances to walk on. Some of the commitments mean, "I'm going to try to walk on, but even if I make the team, I might get red shirted and I have to try out again the next year." Some of these guys should consider juco if they are serious about playing at the next level. They get reps they will not get as a red shirt.
That was Keelyn's original situation at LSU. He was "committed" as a preferred walk-on. He wasn't getting any money. Then coach Goff offered him a half scholarship to Tech. He actually was a Tech signee. He signed just a few days before coach Goff left for Alabama. We actually never announced him as a signee, but he did sign. I thought JUCO was his best bet coming out of high school, honestly. He's the type of talent who could get drafted next June, or he can put up big enough numbers in JUCO to get a full ride somewhere. I know he hasn't given up on Tech and might end up in Ruston in the future.
