Ya know, just my not-so-humble opinion, but all the talk about his love for baseball, I think he's at his best doing hoops. His play-by-play in basketball is unrelenting, consistent, and he never, I mean NEVER, misses a beat! Listening to his hoops' broadcasts on the radio, you can "see" the game. You know what the Tech players look like, what their numbers are, how they move, so when Nitz says something like: Hamilton chases down the loose ball, pass to McGee inside, off the glass for two. You can visualize it all happening.
We are truly blessed to have a legend as the Voice of the Dawgs. Ya gotta love it!
...and we do.
Maybe out very out of touch AD will try to keep him around for baseball next year instead of settling for third string.
Wonder how long the Nitzer will get to stay with us this spring?

Evidently the request for Dave to do the full baseball gig, including post season play was nixed by our AD...
Not a way to treat your resident HOF'er...
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
Are we sure he doesn't absolutely want to do the Sioux calling job?
Don't know why...

The Nitzer is one of us.
Learfield Properties -- nationwide -- is very, very chitzy with their talent fees. But, by golly, they can sell out all their ad time. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm . . . wonder why and how they do that?
I find their quote typical about The Nitzer:
“Dave has entertained Siouxland with his classic delivery and unmistakable tone; and we look forward to Dave ushering our listeners and X’s fans through another successful summer.”
