A little history here:

Do you guys remember a few years ago (early 2000's?) when we had that god-awful field turf that looked HORRIBLE under the lights at night? It actually reflected light and looked wet and shiny, with a dark gray look. Rumor was that we got the turf second hand from the New Orleans Saints as a freebe. Don't know if that rumor was true or not, but if it was, let's just say we still didn't get our money's worth, even though it was free.

Settle down there big fella...........Like I said, the "Saints" thing was a rumor. Could have sworn Jim Oakes told me that though. Oh well.....regardless, we certainly don't want any more of THAT turf.

Dibs on midfield! I've always wanted to have it ever since I set foot on campus. It's enormous though, so we'll see, even if I'm allowed to take it. I'll report back with findings at the appropriate time.

I have tile floors throughout my house except in the bedrooms, so it shouldn't be too bad.

If they'll let me have a big enough piece, I'd like to cover the garage floor with it.

Essentially my entire house is tile. And its a college guys house. So I won't mind too much.

I believe that is where they put the "marker" on the chains so when they take a measurement they don't "move the chains" See the round orange thing below

I don't know how long the Aggies had their artificial turf before they tore it up for grass a few years back. Of course they sold patches of it to their fans. They acted like they were getting saints' relics or pieces of the True Cross. Remember this is the same turf that an Aggie Corps member chased an SMU cheerleader off of with his sword. We're just going to put ours in the "dumpster" or landfill somewhere.
