10-2 Prediction For 2015 (statistically)

Of course this is all hypothetical, and we won't know much until Week 2...

According to Masey, we're underdogs against Kansas State and Miss State (the majority of us expected this). Rice is 50/50 and WKU carries a 54% chance of the dawgs winning. I found the Rice/WKU numbers a bit odd (I assumed those statistics would be flipped); WKU just seems like they will be the more difficult opponent this year. Either way, numbers that close can often times go either way.

I like our chances against WKU. My opinion is that they were not nearly as good as advertised last year. Rice always gives me pause - just because of some past head scratching games. I would LOVE to beat KSU and MSU! If we do, our chances of bursting into a P5 bowl go up exponentially.

After last year, I don't think any team will be overlooking us either. We will get each CUSA team's best effort.

That will probably translate into a head scratching loss or two. Or least make several games much closer than should be statistically.

I am just a bit concerned about playing WKU so early in the season with a new QB and so quickly after our 1st game - 5 days..... I would much rather have a bye week before or it be an 'at home' game for a Thursday night tilt against a conference rival who is supposed to be in our top 5 of the conference and 1 or 2 in the East!!!! Also, it will be nationally televised, which isn't always our best work. Other than that, like our chances of hitting 10-2 (11-2 after a big bowl win!).

They will have a short week after playing Vandy in Nashville. We will have a legit shot to come out of Bowling Green winners.
