In an on-going effort to increase its exposure in the Shreveport-Bossier City market, Louisiana Tech Athletics and LA Tech Sports Properties announced Monday a partnership with Cumulus Media to carry the Bulldog football and men’s basketball and the Lady Techster basketball games during the upcoming seasons.

As part of the contract, both KRMD 1340 AM and KRMD 100.7 FM will carry the entire Bulldog football and both basketball broadcasts as part of the LA Tech Sports Network, including the pregame and postgame shows.

Red Peach Media will continue to serve as the flagship station for the LA Tech Sports Network as Bulldog football and basketball will be carried live on KXKZ 107.5 FM while Bulldog baseball and Lady Techster basketball will be on KNBB 97.7 FM.
Other affiliates that have already been signed up for the coming year include WUBR-AM 910 (Baton Rouge), KVCL-FM 92.1 (Winnfield), KJVC-FM 92.7 (Mansfield), KDBS-AM 1410 (Alexandria) and KTKC-FM 92.9 (Springhill). Additional affiliates could be added before the start of the season.

WUBR in BR is 1200 watt station and 91 watts at night. No coaches show, but games are sometimes on.

KVCL in Winnfield did not have the coaches show last year, but did have the games.

KDBS in Alexadria is 1000 watt day and 30 watts night.

92.9 in Springhill can actually be heard from around 40 miles or so.

I'd love to see a radio circle around the state of Louisiana. Our state competitors have no problem getting on stations in our area. I wish Learfield would dump its "we don't buy airtime" policy and have overlapping coverage circles towards southern La. . . .

I can't really pick up KRMD very well. Seems to have a very weak signal. I cannot understand why we cannot anchor a better local station in Shreveport. Used to pick up 107.5.real clear there is a religious station that bleeds into signal now. Car radio 107.5 reception perfect.

Shouldn't have to, this is bush league to not have a strong radio presence in one of our local markets. For a C-USA school, we should have decent coverage in all of north Louisiana, south Arkansas, East Texas.

One would think. I keep seeing the billboard I photographed yesterday-"Shreveport is Bulldog Country" so we should have a decent radio station you can pick up on the airwaves.

Yea, when I lived on the north side of Cross Lake in Shreveport you could never get KRMD! It was a pain to go and set in the truck to pick up a game!
That is a market that needs to get the game on multiple stations, or at least one that you can get any where for miles!
