Forget the fact that LA Tech has a female who participated in the last Olympics and is well on her way to Rio in 2016, yet where is the LA Tech Track & Field tab? Doesn't it deserve to be on the front page.
How about other sports that LA Tech has that claim to be "highly" competitive...like Volleyball, Softball, Soccer, & Tennis. What makes these teams unworthy of equal representation? Because they aren't football? Because some of them are women's sports?
Not to mention the lack of concern for women's sports is seen as bad coaches and role models are still holding positions within the department. As a former student, former LA Tech athlete and a former worker in the athletic department the fact that it is CLEARLY still this way is really disheartening.
People made such a big deal over the difference monetarily between FIFA Women's World Cup and the Men's World Cup, but no one cares about the gender difference in sport support, both financially & w/ exposure that continues to happen today in college sports. LA Tech is just another number in the countless schools guilty of it today...
