Where is Pat Tilley??

Overall I enjoyed the Times top 20 athletes from Shreveport/ Bossier list BUT how do you leave off Pat. 1978-1986 in NFL with St Louis. Pro Bowl and at Tech on team that won first National championship game. we were around 35-2 from 1972-1975 when he was drafted. Sure everyone has player they believe deserved recognition so this is my personal pick ( he also coached receivers at Tech for a period) Big FCA supporter


on a personal note--#2 -- R Parrish-- played with him in fund raiser game with Shreveport Jaycees vs Channel 3 at the Dome upteen years ago and
#2-- caught a few passes without breaking my hand from Bradshaw -- Tommy Spinks was friend and ....

Hang with Leo at most pre-game events == am I bragging? Absolutely not, just sharing some great memories before this dementia thing take completely over...

Except there's a guy on the list who sucked at pro baseball so he quit to play college football at LSU and sucked there, too. But he couldn't be stopped in high school!

I wasn't saying she should be on the list. I've never even heard of the female golfer. My comment was in response to him saying that the list focused on people who had great professional careers. Josh Booty sucked as a pro baseball player and sucked as a college football player. He has no business being on the list especially when an NFL Pro Bowl receiver didn't make it.

His name stuck out to me too as not belonging on that list, but then I figured he has to be considered a great athlete because he played pro baseball and pro football... even though he wasn't very good at either at the pro level (or even college level for that matter). He's just a good all around athlete who had 15 minutes of fame. Agree that Tilley should have been there over Booty.
