ElWagonne's complaints about the FWAA 75th anniversary team...

First, let's say congrats to Mr. Roaf for making the list. However, I have a few complaints about the list, which are in no particular order:

    1) I guess they just forgot about the HBCU's
    2) While the RB's selected are quite good, Jim Brown, Walter Payton and Earl Campbell might have something to say
    3) Are Staubach, Tebow and Frazier the 3 greatest college QB's of all time?
    4) If this is based on college achievements only, Troy Edwards should be on this list.

    Thoughts?

Over 75 years the game has changed so much it's almost impossible to compare (as if it was going to be easy anyway, with the diversity of styles, levels of competition, coaching, surrounding talent, and number of games even within a given season). I think QB may be the biggest area of complaint. Edwards should absolutely be on there.

My questions to Elwagonne -- what's HBCU and who's Frazier?

Yes, Staubach was probably one of the best college QB's of all time...

Don't know about Tebow or Tommy Frazier - would of put Steve Young (or any BYU qb from late 70's to early 90's) , Terry Bradshaw, Archie Manning, Peyton Manning or Brett Farve over those two

On the running backs - it is hard to argue with those 6 - and that's without Blanchard, Davis, Simpson, Allen, Sims and a litany of others

Don't know about Edwards being top 6 - definitely top 10 - and yes, I think Calvin Johnson was that good in college

Troy is better than Carter statistically.

Gets harder to argue those other guys.

Ricky Williams, Ron Dayne, Montee Ball recently, Glenn Davis further back would all have some argument to be in that RB group (it's a hard thing to do, picking the "best" football players over a 75 year period).

Charlie Ward and Vince Young have to be right there with the QBs.

How about Tim Rattay? How many QBs can say they beat Alabama twice on their home field.
