I would wait until September 14th if I were you. September 17, 2001 and September 29, 2008 were the 2 prior crashes. They both occured on "Shemitah days." The Shemitah this year is September 13.

I am watching Disney myself. I personally keep earnings high for them.

The wise men saw a star and knew it meant a Jewish king was being born. I don't think we should easily dismiss what we may not understand.

I don't think Mr. Cahn is speaking of the tribulation and the rapture, but is drawing a parallel of what has happened to Israel when signs like these were given, and what he thinks God may be saying to America.

Could they be warning signs, and a way of God telling us that we're in trouble? Possibly.

However, you said that Cahn was trying to use the blood moons to predict when God's judgement would take place, which is different. We know that won't happen until the end of the Great Tribulation. That's the point I'm trying to make.

OK. He's not talking about that. He just noticed that bad things happen to the stock market on Shemitah days. Then he also noticed the Shemitah this year will also have a blood moon occurrence and thought it could mean something more than just a stock market crash. He is careful to say he doesn't know this will happen, he's just noticed the pattern of the Shemitah / crashes and the blood moon seems to be an exclamation point of some type this time.

Sorry guys I couldn't resist….….but when it's all said and done, it's all still about Jesus and His coming back IMHO.

Yes it's probably just a market correction long overdue. Even though no one but the Father in heaven knows the day or the hour (but we will know the season), we should all be looking heavenward and here on earth for the signs of Christ coming.
After all it's our blessed hope. Nuff said for now.

When you artificially delay a correction, the correction that you eventually experience is much worse than it would've been if you hadn't try to manage it in the first place.

One of the 3 major factors in this downturn is the fed hike timing.

Very true. Of course there are some major companies that have invested a huge amount of $$ in China. Especially the O&G companies like Conoco/Phillips

You can slaughter pigs if you play it right. Monday morning was prime time to make some cash. V damn near hit 60.

50 percent of cash - use it to play in these volitale times with trades you have tested - option up to limit losses and look at betting the vix. If you don't have the history or intestinal fortitude, stay out.

Other 50 percent - start cherry picking stocks that you want your grandkids to inherit one day. There are some deals right now that will look like a steal in 25-30 years - buy and hold.

Yesterday on CBS Sunday morning, Ben Stein had a piece alleging, basically, that last week's market fluctuations were orchestrated, quite intentionally, by the major hedge funds.
