    New ASST. AD for Marketing (sike)

    Our AD has just hired a new asst. AD for Marketing, Aimee Graugnard, a UL-L graduate. I've had reservations about this guy ever since he was hired. Can you imagine Auburn hiring an Alabama alumnus to be head of marketing???

    They are somehow convincing fans to pay money to sit inside a tractor shed and watch a poor product orchestrated by a snake oil salesman. Maybe there are worse people at marketing? Speaking purely objectively there, but on the surface this does appear to be a bad start to a job at Tech.

    She currently works at Vanderbilt, being a ULL grad does not/should not automatically disqualify someone, I work with plenty of smart and hard working ULL alums.

    "Proud @ULRaginCajuns Alum" needs to either be removed from her twitter bio, or she needs to add the second "L." No LaTech Athletics employee should ever use the illegal "UL" term. That should be fixed immediately. She certainly knows how to insult the students and alumni of her new employer. She definitely started off on the wrong foot.

    We should hire the best person for the job. Period. However, they also need to act in a manner expected of Tech employees (wait, no, that's terrible phrasing).

    We ain't hiring. Our AD is. Him or his peeps should have caught the UL crap. When I heard she was hired I saw this and wondered if it would be "cleaned up" before the announcement. It's the small things that add up. I can assure you that this thread appearing on THE BBB will cause it to be "cleaned up".

    6 pages later we are back to discussing the person responsible for the hire. Had the same Tech employees who monitor THE BBB daily, bothered to check her personal bio they would have found the bothersome language and ask her to remove it BEFORE the hire was announced. Then, none of this would be being discussed here.

    It's the little things.

    Yes- I am sure she will have lots of friends in Ruston now that we see what she is. This hire should be presented with barf bags- it certainly makes me want to throw up. She should take that crap down. Who exactly was it that thought our AD was a good pick for TECH?

    Removed, also she was linking it to the ULL official athletics account, which wrongly uses UL

    That is ULL's Twitter feed. She can't add the second L. The only other option is to use ULL without the @, but even I don't think that's reasonable. She didn't make the Twitter handle. She's just linking to her alma mater.

    Nope. I don't care that it's ULL's official athletics twitter. It's still illegal, and she didn't graduate from the athletics department. She graduated from her alma mater @ULLafayette. She chose to link the illegal athletics account instead of the official university account. Her twitter bio was unacceptable, and since she was dumb enough to not change it before, Tommy should've had her clean it up before she announced she was hired. Good thing it got cleaned up quickly, but this stuff should not happen.
