great Steeler coach - decent College coach for awhile but horrible announcer! Won't shut up. Coaches are doing exact opposite of everything he predicts. Time to mute TV and put Dave Nitz on

Did anyone else think it was odd that the announcers were doing the game from "the studio back in LA"? They had a guy on the ground in Kentucky, but the other guys weren't there.
I think one of the announcers was a robot.
It's time to close the doors to the Temple of Janus.
And this is why conferences like CUSA, MWC, AAC and Sunbelt should NOT expect an increase in their upcoming tv contract negotiations

I don't think ESPN has ever done a remote broadcast for a football game, though. I think ESPN has only done it for basketball.
That was the worst production I've ever seen for a nationally televised football game. Besides the remote broadcast, the producer must have been drunk. How many times did they accidentally show the WKU band in pregame warmups? Even the cameramen struggled.
About 7 then I quit counting -
ESPN did it several times last year - there was a BIG to do made about it because they tagged the "live from XXXX, ZZ"
Brando really took them to task about it because they insinuated that the broadcast team was live on site
ASN has a much more polished broadcast team than the FS1 group or the CBS Sports Network group
Fox Regional is better than FS1 except when they throw Brando and Tillman out there

A typical MLS broadcast runs in the neighborhood of between $90,000 and $120,000. Using remote integration, as the company calls it, can cut that bill by 30 percent. Depending on the size and scope of the production, remote integration can eliminate the need for between 17 and 25 people on site.

## The network wants to give Wannstedt and Leinart an opportunity to be game analysts, but it would be difficult if not impossible for them to work Friday’s game in Boca Raton and then be back in Los Angeles to handle their main job as Fox college studio analysts on a 4 p.m. pre-game show. With Wannstedt having worked at UM, “he was a no-brainer to use [on this game],” said Brad Zager, Fox’s vice president of remote operations. “We have a group in studio that could really call a good game.”
Sideline reporter Petros Papadakis will be Fox’s only on-air presence at Friday’s game.
### Zager said handling game production from the studio — as well as keeping the announcers there — allows Fox to use additional technical toys.
“We can use virtual graphics, stuff that isn’t available on a Conference USA broadcast,” Zager said. “Wannstedt can draw plays on a greaseboard and Leinart can do demonstrations.”
Fox insists this isn’t an attempt to save money and Zager said Fox won’t attempt to conceal that the announcers are in California.
“It’s an experiment,” Zager said. “Can we do a college game and have the viewer not lose anything by having the announcers and camera in studio? It’s an opportunity to see if it’s something that works.”
