It's much better in person than in that pic. I'll swing by today and see if I can get another angle than that one.

I wonder if that Tech alumnus that paid for ulm's turf for their football field will now pay for turf for their baseball field since they always try to copy everything that Tech does.
Just so you know, there is obviously a seam behind home plate. There are not two different colors. The right side is pressed down and simply needs "fluffing."
Also, you may notice the hard rubber home plate.
I am not a baseball person, but this looks pretty dang sharp to me!
how about this?

IMO, the logo in centerfield was not a good idea.
I'll say this, this is the best field in the conference without a doubt. Rice has a better atmosphere and has better views and what not, but their surface does not even compare to what we have now. Excellent recruiting tool.

Looks too fake to me.
Fake grass fake dirt. Bah humbug
If you had to take care of this baseball field day after day like coaches and players do, you would absolutely love this beautiful new turf field. Both fields, baseball and softball, add to the overall beauty and attractiveness of our entire athletic complex. Our coaches and players are thrilled with the new turf fields.
I understand Coach (hope you don't mind me calling you that; we've never met).
In the photos it just looks plastic to me.
