Question for future game?

I don't know if the 2 teams playing on Saturday will ever play again. If they do and you guys are the host why not play in Shreveport? Historically it has been where you have had your largest crowds. Cajun fans have shown they will travel where the hotels can accommodate them and there are other attractions in the area. (See the many Tulane games in years past and NO bowl). I alone have spoken to at least 30 people who would be coming to Ruston but are not because they couldn't get a hotel room. I would imagine that several others have tried. IMO if this game was in Shreveport with all the casino hotels you'd have over 40k in attendance this weekend.

I don't know what your deal is with Independence Stadium and if the cost to rent it would wash out the extra tickets sold?

As fas as your cajun buddies traveling to see Tech and usl play in North La., I will believe it when I see it. I didn't find those remarks to be snide and thought it was a legitimate question. I am not trying to put you down it's just a fact that Ruston doesn't have the hotels that S-port does. I have personally witnessed around 30k against Tulane every year when we played on a regular basis. As long as the game is played in Ruston you will probably never see large Cajun contingent. Most people I have talked to said if I have to drive an hour to Shreveport I just a soon drive home. Trust me you don't want a coonass driving that far after a day of tailgating.

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't NWST the team you have played the most in S-port?

As for this game or any in the future I don't live and die by this stuff if you beat us 100 - 0 and we never play again my Sunday and the rest of my life will not be affected one bit.

You guys keep comparing to southern fans? Did southern fans really show up? Case in point when we played southern at Cajun field the crowd was 41K and change. Southern probably 13k to 15k of that. I honestly don't know what it was in Ruston? Close to that? Would you have had more in S-port. Not knocking just asking. I personally think looking at your media guide and crowds y'all should consider S-port a couple times a year. Like Alabama and Arkansas did in Birmingham and little rock for years.

And while I don't know the numbers, I strongly suspect that after tomorrow, they will have outnumbered FBS-level UL-Lafayette's fans by a long shot.

As they did you by a large margin in Lafayette so what's your point? NWST is not known for traveling as well as SU but they brought more to Lafayette this year than you did last year.

It's great that they showed up. According to espngo.com the attendance was 27,905. If SU showed up as you say then someone must have not shown up. 27,905 < 41k and change. Maybe my lack of hotel theory has some validity? Your only crowds near that number have been where?

Our dialogue with the Big 12 includes playing multiple games in Shreveport each year. With that extra conference money, we will play 7-8 home games and can better manage two venues and keep all our fans engaged. With the potential for light rail connecting Mississippi and Texas straight through LaTech territitory, it's a win-win-win.

There are plenty of rooms available within 30 minutes of Ruston. Y'all didn't have 20K of your own fans in your own stadium last year. Why would have have more in S'Port? You are a lying sack of $hit.
