"...of the University of Louisiana System..."
That comment was a jewel in and of itself. 😆😆😀👍👍

Yep, during the PA pre-game announcements.
The ASN guys called them Louisiana Lafayette or Lafayette.
Yes, in the pre-game notes that are handed out to media. Here is an example...
http://www.ragincajuns.com/documents...ed_.pdf?id=276
noticed the head ref called them "lafeyette" on the coin toss.
Our own play by play PA game announcer called 'em "Lafayette" all night.
"There is confusion among national sports organizations as to how to refer to Louisiana Ragin Cajuns."
The only ones confused are the Cajuns.
Their use of UL and/or Louisiana is completely different than "much like our opponents around the country." At one time I thought the SBC had put an end to @ Lafayette's name nonsense. ULM should begin referring to themselves as Louisiana and demanding that sports media do, as well, "much like our opponents around the country." That would force the hand of the conference and the University of Louisiana system.
I saw a ULL fan wearing a red shirt with UL on it at the game Saturday. I told him, that to my knowledge, the only school authorized to use the initials, UL is the University of Louisville!!! He had a deer in the headlights look and said nothing, so I walked away!!
