The Cajun fans seem to realize there were "pokes" at them, which were well played. What they seem unwilling to admit is they brought this on themselves with their name game. They seem to expect other schools to aid them in their quest.
I think we should call them University of Louisiana and help them plaster it everywhere....nothing will change until UL-M and LSU-BR get involved and us spreading the University of Louisiana hype will only help quicken LSU entrance into this situation.

I think the Regal Blues dancing right by ULL's huddle was my favorite part of the game. I couldn't stop laughing.
The trivia question was on point, too. Loved it!
I didn't hear the "crown jewel" comment, but certainly a great job by all our guys running this game.

Let me add this... ULL deserved every little shot of disrespect we gave them. There was no shortage of "University of Louisiana" heard over the PA in Laffy last year.
Having been inside the stadium pregame, the comment was "Louisiana Tech is the 'Crown Jewel' of the University of Louisiana System". There was no "crowning" comment.
Something along the lines of "Lady's and gentlemen welcome to Joe Aillet Stadium on the campus of Louisiana Tech University, the crown jewel of the University of Louisiana system. Tonight's matchup etc...."
Fletch even took a few jabs at them on his show this morning, basically saying that any thoughts they ever had of a rivalry with us are destroyed because we absolutely own them. Then he said that they can keep calling themselves "UL" all they want to until they see us, because that's when they always get the extra L.

I was in the restroom, but my wife said they announced the history between the schools, saying we first met in 1910(?) and the score was 75-0. Is that right? She said everyone was laughing.
Yeah, that's true but they got us several years after that 57-0.
