"Dixon is quick-footed at the line of scrimmage, but can get jump-cut happy, making more moves than necessary. He doesn't offer much burst and lacks true elusive qualities, not showing much suddenness in his running diet."

Okay maybe I can somewhat agree to the jump-cut happiness on occasion, but the assessment on his burst, elusiveness, and suddenness....really? It doesn't seem he is lacking these on the college level. This must be expected weaknesses on the next level with the speed and size of NFL defenses.

There was another scouting report I read somewhere that had a quote from a retired NFL scout. He had gone to one of our games during Dixon's freshman year to scout Jordan Mills and Quinton Patton. He said (and I am paraphrasing here) that KD was the one that really impressed him, but he was surprised KD wasn't in his notes as someone to watch. Only when he looked at the depth chart and saw he was a freshman did his confusion go away.

I have created a Google Alert for both Driskel and Dixon. It has been picking up a few things like this that don't get caught with my general Louisiana Tech Bulldogs Football alert.

Whoever wrote that bolded part is thinking far too much. I can agree that sometimes KD makes more moves than necessary. For example, occasionally he'll keep jumping and cutting outside when I would prefer that he just go noth-and-south to get the first down. But both Gayle Sayers and Barry Sanders had the same running style as KD. So maybe its not so bad after all.

He does bounce around sometimes too much. But how often does he bounce around and outrun anyone? He usually gets wrapped up after getting a hole. (Twss!)

Agreed, sir. Just pointing out that his burst still isn't there when attempting to enter voids in the defense.

Kenneth will be in the league for a while. He just isn't le'veon bell.

Some Dixon film on College Game Day from our game against K-State. Granted it was in the context of them having been able to stop the run pretty well this year. But The Dawgs on College Game Day is good enough for me.
