UL-L Accused of "Major Recruiting Violations"

Whats bad is there are several posters in so much denial on their board. I only look and do not have an account there. Like seriously some of them do not understand history of NCAA sanctions at all. Think they are all innocent. They are clueless and Hud was for calling a pass play at end of half w/10 seconds left....only to do it again (thanks Hud by the way).

Somebody said something like "We didn't alter test scores, the ACT test proctor altered test scores." I mean, really?! Yea, just like that time you said ULL wasn't calling themselves UL, the media was, but when you ask the media to call you UL, it's the same thing.

I just seems like there is a cheating mentality over there. The UL is a prime example. Everybody from administration, to booster, to casual fans are ok with it. I like to think we are better than that but who knows.

SMU is the NCAA's most recent example of not accepting a university's self-imposed punishment. A couple of weeks ago, the NCAA told SMU "not good enough", and laid the wood to SMU and it's mens basketball coach, Larry Brown. It was brutal.

Here's what an SMU guy just posted on line about their experience 2 weeks ago:

As part of the self-imposed penalties by UL-Lafayette, they are prohibited from initiating phone calls, contact via social media, and written correspondence with prospective student-athletes for "a three-week period" during the 2015-2016 year.

This "three-week period" is actually three one-week periods from October 11-17, November 1-7, and November 22-28, 2015.

These three one-week periods correspond with periods between a Sun Belt home game and the next Sun Belt road game.

1. October 11-17: Lafayette played Texas State at home on the 10th and then plays at Arkansas State on October 20th (Tuesday night game).

2. November 1-7: Lafayette plays at home against ULM for Homecoming and then plays at Georgia State on November 7th.

3. November 22-28: Lafayette plays at home against N Mexico State and then plays at Appalachian State on November 28th.

Since there is so much interest of ULL on this board why don't don't you make a permanent category preferably under flamers. It seems to me there are way too many posts about them and LSUseless on this board. I know it's mostly derogatory but any recognition only inflates their egos.

This is a big national news story and should be treated as such. If you don't want to read about it, then unsubscribe from the thread, and don't click on the thread with ULL in the title. This story isn't going away anytime soon.

I didn't say the story shouldn't be on the board. I just said there should be an appropriate place for it along with all other stories about ULL. If there was a permanent ULL category I probably would never click on it, but they just get in the way on the Tech foot ball thread.

All other stories about ULL? Way too many about "LSUseless?" Where are you seeing this stuff? There are zero threads about LSU on the first page of our football forum, and ULL's major violations is the only topic about ULL that's been talked about since the aftermath of blowing out the trailer trash less than 2 weeks ago. Probably because of your silly complaint, this thread has now been stickied to the top of our football forum.
