How about those Dogs!After a close CUSA road victory over UTSA the 4-2 Bulldogs travel to Starkville, Mississippi to take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs this Saturday, October 17th.


Mississippi State is 4-2 and while they lead the series with Louisiana Tech 8-3, the Bulldogs have won two of the last three meetings between the two teams. You can find more information about the game by clicking on the Game Notes link:

I am one of those who does not enjoy watching TV football games in a "watch party" setting.

I guarantee you there are plenty of Tech fans and even potential Tech fans in NELA that would love the environment of a Tech game watching party at a local establishment. Then there are non-affiliated customers who would just happen to show up and experience the excitement of Tech football/basketball.

I'm just amazed because several northeast Louisiana establishments are lo$ing out on a big $pike in bu$ine$$ on Tech game day$ and the benefit$ of tho$e cu$tomer$ returning on non-game day$.

I'm not not just talking about Monroe-West Monroe. It starts in Ruston. The Dawg House can't handle everyone in Lincoln Parish who wants to go to a Tech away game watching party.

As backwards as Shreveport-Bossier can be about supporting things, some NWLA businesses have figured out that supporting Tech is great for their bottomline.

At this time I would like to remind everyone that Nw La TAG is a volunteer group that started right here on BB&B. We are just like the rest of you except we came together OUTSIDE of BB&B and organized. We have real jobs, TAG is what we do for fun! That said, we miss spell words sometimes, we get things wrong sometimes, and even miss the great opportunity to make a joke sometimes. But again, none of us get a paycheck for what we do. We do it out of love of Tech and the desire we all had to make things better.

If anyone would like to join Nw La TAG BoD we have only 2 rules, you must be a due paying member of the Alumni Association and an active LTAC member. And we have to have an opening (which we do)!

DFW-IronDawg, if you want a TAG (Tech Advancement Group) in DFW start one! We will be more than happy to share our knowledge. In fact, when we wrote our bylaws we took into account that someday others may want to make groups in other areas and planned for it.

I love this time of year and all the game watching parties. It was just 8 short years ago TAG started up and had to rent out the back of the Elk's Lodge and bring our personal satellite systems in and borrow projectors to have a game watching party. YES, we had to PAY to bring in a party of people willing to spend money. Boy have times changed! And I Love It!
