I received a call from the ticket office about donating tickets to the kids of Strong AR to see Kenneth play during homecoming. Has anyone else heard about this? The normal ticket guy, Chris, his wife is having a baby and I don't remember the new guys name. Are you guys up to donating for KD fans?

I don't believe the ticket office wants you to give tickets for the Strong kids. They want you to buy tickets so that can be given to them. But try anyway.
Solomon Randle called me to donate tickets for the MTSU game. They discounted the tickets to $12. If they discount them again, I'll buy some more.
Our AD is not all with us.
Why doesn't the university give them some free tickets? Jeez Louise. It's not like we'd be forgoing lots in revenue.
Dunno if you can just give away tickets. You could discount them down to something really low for donation though.
I've always wondered the same. But I'm guessing T-Mac will count these heavily discounted tickets as "tickets sold", and he can't do that with tickets donated directly from the university.
In 2012 for the USU game we sold huge lots of tickets for $1 each. 70% chance rain and he only discounts them $3...SHAMELESS!
I was thinking the same thing. I bought 200 game tickets one time for donations, but I believe I only paid $5 each for them. $12 seems a little high.
It's been canceled for now guys.
Best guess is that this was an initiative created by the Aspire Group.
Possibly, but very consistent with our AD's policy of not discounting tickets for football or MBB. He won't even give tickets to local radio stations to promote the games. He only gives two each week to BTB. IMO, other local shows should be giving them away too.
