It won't help. I'd trade Brees, Peyton, and anyone else you could get a draft pick for. Fire Loomis and start over. Time to rebuild.
The defense was certainly not the only problem yesterday. I would be all for trading Brees - he has good days that he is really good, but more bad days lately. They need to start the rebuilding process.
Total overhaul needed at this point.
I think the defense and the OL are the two huge problems. I wouldn't trade Brees yet, until we can see what he can do with some protection.
What a mess. But at least we are trying to do something about it unlike another team and owner I know. No sweeping issues under the rug here.

The saints were a popular Super Bowl pick at the beginning of last season. What a mess we've become. We haven't been the same since Adolf Goodell handed down Sean P's suspension.

I would keep Brees until you know for darn sure there is a replacement on the roster. Do you guys realize how rare top tier QBs have become in this day and age?

Remember, the Battle of the Billy Joe's, Aaron Brooks, Jeff Blake,John Fourcade, Heath Shuler, Wade Wilson, Steve Walsh, Kerry Collins, and Jim "take the dive"Everett. yep== just read on USA website that Peyton is not throwing him under the bus, yet. They have by-week and unlike most coaches not using him as scapegoat. That said, lot of things wrong down there and I get depressed watching my saints play like a Dykes defense.
