If it was the best deal, then I am for it.
OK, I will admit being totally ignorant on these apparel deals. What exactly does adidas provide Tech, and is there any money involved? I read the news article, but I still do not understand how it is better than say Nike, etc.
Does anyone on here have any insights?
Edit: Looks like Sportsdawg has posted a video. I just looked at it, but I didn't hear any real tangent details except everyone is excited to have consistentcy among the different sports. There has gotta be more than that. Money? Prestige? More equipment for the same or less money? What?
I'm probably wrong, but I've heard others say that the money in the contract (about $600K a year) is all spent on adidas equipment. Is that right?
I'm happy with anything that's not Russell.

For what I understand, we weren't MAKING any money from our Nike deal. Only getting an amout of gear supplied to us.
With Adidas, I assume we would get gear, as well as being paid to wear said gear. I could be making that up though.
Congrats to Administration, best deal in CUSA and LA by far. Sounds like our student athletes will be well taken care of and they deserve that for sure. I really like that we'll all be wearing the same brands across the sports. I also like that it was a 5 year deal instead of 10 so we can renegotiate in 4 years an even better deal.
It was well over double what the Cajuns got! Suck it Cajuns!
Only thing I wish, is that us fans can still buy the high quality Nike apparel from the bookstore. Adidas apparel doesnt look as nice as the Nike stuff, IMO.
