When it comes to unis, less is more. The mix and match we have now with the pant and jersey combos is great. We don't need the puppy logo, flag "T", or red "T" unless the helmet is white.

Our football team isn't allowed to wear the white T decal Tech has been wearing on our red helmets since the 1960s because it violates a newly created branding guideline, but our bookstore can sell these products with logos in blatant violation of our longstanding branding guidelines.
Is that still on shelves? Thought Adidas was taking over.
The bookstore still has its non-Adidas merch
Both logos are official logos now, they just chose to use one of them. It may come back, it may not. Probably wont unless you get some campaign together to bring it back.
Just like the white T and white state variants, Its on official gear and merchandise. That makes it about as official as it can get. You guys can whine as much as you want about it, but it is a publicly released official variation. The University/Athletic department has the power and ability to approve anything they see fit, and they approved this.
Where are you getting this info.? They don't have the power to make up new logos as they go along. They have restrictions based on this...

BTW, the white T restriction was just added this year. It was not on the original restrictions when Dooley had the new logo and colors done.
