Very old school Houston Oiler.

Tech football wore columbia blue in various uniform combinations from the early 70s through 1988. Our last game in columbia blue jerseys was the McNeese game in 1987. The last game in columbia blue pants was in 1988. We've never worn columbia blue in the I-A/FBS era.

Would look less like old school Oilers if you did the all blue thing. They may have done it at some point, but it's not really how you picture them.

Also, on a red helmet we need the white T. It's unfathomable that anyone can't see that.

And black football uniforms would be awful. I'm not sure I'm totally on board with the Columbia blue idea either, but it would be miles and miles and miles better than black or grey.

And while we're on everybody's favorite off-season topic of fixing the uniforms - let's replace the La-State-T-ECH logos on our pants with the far superior State-T logo.

Unpopular opinion, but I hate the white T. It looks 30 years out of date. I guess if you were gonna do the Columbia throwbacks (which I still don't like) you would need to use the old helmets, but imho our look has been improved dramatically from what it used to be.

As for the La-state&T-ech logo, I don't get why some people hate it so much. I like it. I wouldn't put it on the helmet or the center of the field, but otherwise it looks good to me.

To me, it looks like the same modern State-T logo but with a different color scheme. The logo isn't different, just color scheme.

Which we could recoup by auctioning off the jerseys. The Foundation could purchase them and then auction them off, recouping the cost and providing the excess to Komen. Order additional jerseys with the names of Tech greats to auction off as well.
