After watching the CUSA promo I believe the announcer picked Southern Miss to beat our Dawgs, but as I recall he didn't pick a winner between Marshall and Western Kentucky.

I'm a bit concerned that the Dawgs, like with Ohio State in BB, will have to beat the eagles and the refs. I've sort of gotten the impression that our beloved alma mater (to use a trite phrase) is the red headed stepchild of the conference. I'm afraid the powers to be in the conference would rather see Southern Miss in the championship game than our bulldogs. Hopefully, I am just being paranoid, and the refs call a fair game, so that the best team wins.

I follow your logic but HOPE they see the wisdom of havibg 3 Senior Bowl reps in their championship game. Dixon alone would draw attention. That said, a matchup of two teams who have not played each other.... Just do not give us Ken Antee--he loves calling penalties on us ....

Every cliché in the book fits--we have to protect Jeff, Create holes for HD, stop the run , put pressure on them etc. but I cross my fingers we can get a couple of turnovers ==our kicking game (fg 81%-64%/extra points-they missed 3) and Turnover ratio ( Tech plus 4 USM -5) appear to be our biggest advantage on paper. Hope I don't jinx us by posting this
