    That's what they say. But the rumor is that Marshall wanted to play Illinois in Dallas last year but the conference sent us instead...and now Marshall says they preferred to play the higher ranked NIU to save face. I think it's going to be more about who can sell the most tickets for a particular bowl and I can't see any of our eastern teams getting many people to Dallas the day after Christmas.

    From everything I've read - WKU wants to play in Miami - they will get a good AAC opponent

    I would like the HOD again with a second choice of Indy. HOWEVER, the most important thing for me is a P5 team with a name. That furthers our brand. No Belt or, actually, any G5 team. Wish we could get lsu.

    This was WKU beat writer's tweet before Marshall game
    @zach_greenwell: Instead of any rivalry name, calling today's game the Miami Beach Bowl Bowl.

    Wherever WKU ends up bowl-wise, they better remember to play all 4 quarters this time.

    FAU bowl killers
    Ended the hopes of ODU & FIU (who had 2 more games against wku & Marshall). 2 of their 3 wins.

    So being down to 5 teams, how does C-USA decided who to leave out?

    I would think we wouldn't fill Arizona and New Mexico because they are the lowest paying bowls of our tie-ins and they aren't close to any of our bowl eligible fan bases.

    Okay.

    Anybody run numbers on total 6 win teams for the 40 games?

    Looks like at least one side of the Indy will be open. How does that play into C-USA's bowl appointments?

    I had heard this morning there were 71 and we needed to get to 80. I know Washington, Virginia Tech, Indiana, and Tulsa got eligible today.

    If Rice gets in I think CUSA fills New Mexico.

    @MattSmithCFB

    If the NCAA goes to APR for 5-7 bowl teams, looks like Mizzou, San Jose State, Minnesota, Illinois and Rice would be in the mix.

    Re: C-USA Bowls

    75 teams bowl-eligible. Ga. St., K-State can hit six wins next week, meaning at least three and as many as five 5-7 teams will go bowling.
